Lightning protection engineers from Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) will soon be starting work on the world-renowned Belfry Hotel & Resort.
The prestigious project will see the Group’s technicians servicing and upgrading the lightning protection system and installing surge protection to the majority of buildings that are lightning-protected.
The Belfry is a golf resort and hotel in Wishaw, Warwickshire. The Brabazon Course is the main tournament golf course, with the others being the PGA National and The Derby. The headquarters of The Professional Golfers’ Association is also located there, along with a four-star hotel, tennis courts and a leisure spa. The Belfry has hosted the Ryder Cup on four occasions and has staged numerous European Tour events.

Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver electrical services at the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology (DIET).
Engineers from the Group’s electrical services division (West Midlands and South West) will attend the site in Malmesbury where they will install a new lightning and surge protection system at the institute’s new accommodation facility. The main contractor is Beard Construction.
The Dyson Institute was founded by the renowned inventor, designer and engineer James Dyson to address a skill shortage in engineering in the UK. In September 2017, the first student cohort enrolled for the B.Eng degree.

Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) is working on a major high-level repair contract at Lincoln’s Waterside Shopping Centre.
Engineers from PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd. are carrying out repairs to the façade render at the centre. They are skilled in a variety of access methods including rope access, steeplejack techniques, MEWPs and scaffolding, allowing vital improvements to be made to all parts of the building. Work began in 2018 and is ongoing. Waterside Shopping Centre is situated in the centre of Lincoln, by the River Witham. Opened in 1992, it continues to thrive and be a vital part of Lincoln’s economy.

Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has been contracted for a major project to deliver a range of fire solutions at Brunel Street Works – a residential-lead regeneration scheme in Canning Town, London.
Galliford Try Partnership is constructing 975 mixed-tenure homes at the site off Silvertown Way in Canning Town on behalf of Opal, a joint venture between Galliford Try and Thames Valley Housing. The £400m development project, which has a four-year construction programme, will see the homes built across five distinct blocks, ranging from nine to 26 storeys in height. PTSG’s Fire Solutions division (north-west branch, formerly UKS) will deliver wet/dry risers, commercial and residential sprinkler systems across the whole project.
The project illustrates PTSG’s rapidly growing capability in Fire Solutions. Since it was established in 2017, Fire Solutions has become the Group’s second-largest division and as demand continues to grow, it could become the largest. PTSG delivers multiple niche specialist services and often forms sustainable relationships with clients who benefit from access and safety, electrical services and building access solutions, also offered by the Group.
Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has started work on its largest wet riser system yet: at the 75-storey Landmark Pinnacle skyscraper on the Isle of Dogs, London.
Landmark Pinnacle is a 239-metre skyscraper under construction by developer Chalegrove Properties. It is set to be the tallest residential building in Europe and will have more habitable floors than any other building in the UK.
The system is split across three risers – low, mid and high – to provide wet risers across the 75 storeys above ground and two below ground level. The pumping system was commissioned in June to allow the system to be used during construction phase for firefighting purposes.
PTSG has significantly boosted its Fire Solutions capability in recent months, with the acquisition of market-leading companies in different areas of the country. With demand for its life-saving services continuing to grow, it is forecast to become the largest of the Group’s four business divisions.
Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has completed an electrical services project for Jaguar Land Rover spanning two years.
The Group’s Electrical Services division for the West Midlands and South West worked on the design and installation of a lightning protection and earthing system between October 2016 and December 2018 at Jaguar Land Rover’s new design and engineering centre in Warwickshire.
Named Project Triangle after the shape of the site in Gaydon, the development is intended to be one of the world’s foremost automotive product, engineering and design sites. Lang O’Rourke developed the site to create a unique landscaped campus comprising new offices and the Jaguar and Land Rover design centres. Lang O’Rourke and Crown House contracted PTSG to provide electrical services.
