One of the country’s most spectacular footbridges, for which Premier Technical Group Ltd. (PTSG) provided vital lightning protection services, is now open to the public.

The landmark project started in October 2018 to reconnect Tintagel’s divided landscape. It is the site of Tintagel Castle, one of English Heritage’s most famous sites due to its association with the legend of King Arthur.

All twelve steel sections of the new footbridge have now been installed on the North Cornish site, and the alignment of the bridge is also complete. Visitors can now experience the castle the way its medieval inhabitants once did.

Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd. designed, supplied and installed earthing and lightning protection for the bridge for client America UK Ltd.

PTSG is the UK market leader in the design, installation and testing of lightning protection and earthing systems. Its engineers have provided lightning protection services for some of the UK’s best loved and most famous structures including Battersea Power Station, St Andrew’s Castle and Heathrow Airport.
