Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has received an order to provide fall arrest testing services for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).

Operatives from PTSG’s specialist Access and Safety division will attend more than 100 buildings currently used by the DWP, to provide testing, inspections, refurbishment and replacement of existing fall arrest equipment, including guard rails, fixed ladders, anchor points and abseil bolts. The equipment is installed to provide protection to anyone carrying out high-level works at the sites.

DWP is responsible for welfare and pensions policy in the UK and is recognised as the country’s largest government department. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 18 million claimants and customers.

PTSG completes a large portfolio of projects for government organisations such as the NHS, the Police and Fire services and local authorities, providing niche specialist services utilising a range of access techniques to complete works at height. The group currently provides electrical services to Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland and also delivers maintenance works for hundreds of hospitals across the UK.
