Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has secured a contract to provide specialist fire solutions for a new special school in Cambridgeshire.
The new £30m Prestley Wood Academy is a Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) School. The school will be located at the heart of the Alconbury Weald development in Huntingdon.
Prestley Wood Academy will cater for 150 pupils aged between 3-19 years. The school will form part of the Alconbury Weald Education Campus. An additional, new Secondary School would be built in future phases.
Through extensive engagement with Cambridgeshire County Council and Horizons Education Trust, we have determined the design of the school to provide a facility that responds to the Council’s Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) policy
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd will install a sprinkler system throughout the school located in Cambridgeshire. This is to provide safety in the event of a fire. PTSG is one of the leading providers of sprinkler systems. Some of their services include design, installation, testing and inspection and the maintenance of sprinklers. Its Fire Solutions division also delivers a range of other solutions including (but not limited to) dry and wet riser installation and maintenance, security systems and passive fire solutions.
