Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (via constituent company HCS) has been contracted to support Mitie with specialist water treatment services for Network Rail.
Network Rail Ltd is the owner of most of the railway network in Great Britain. The organisation is an “arm’s length” public body of the Department for Transport with no shareholders, which reinvests its income in the railways. Covering 20,000 miles of track and 30,000 bridges, tunnels and viaducts, Network Rail claims to run the world’s largest third rail network. (A third rail, also known as a live rail, electric rail or conductor rail, is a method of providing electric power to a railway locomotive or train, through a semi-continuous rigid conductor placed alongside or between the rails of a railway track.)
In this contract, engineers from HCS will deliver a variety of water treatment services for Network Rail.
