Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to provide a wide range of specialist fire and security solutions at the brand new bus station in Exeter, currently in development.

Work on Exeter’s new leisure centre and bus station started in January 2019 and will take at least two years to complete, with the opening expected in Spring 2021. The new leisure complex, called St Sidwell’s Point, will be the first in the country built to the highly energy efficient Passivhaus standard. Passivhaus is an international energy performance standard. The core focus of Passivhaus is to dramatically reduce the requirement for space heating and cooling, whilst also creating excellent indoor comfort levels.

The new Exeter Bus Station will include covered waiting and boarding areas and high quality facilities, and will replace the current station opened in 1964. Engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd are installing a fire alarm, disabled refuge plus disabled toilet alarm, induction loops, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control.

PTSG has 29 office locations throughout the UK. Its Fire Solutions division has a large presence in the south-west and undertakes many projects in the region. For the much-publicised NHS Nightingale Hospitals, PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd has delivered a fire alarm, CCTV, intruder alarm and access control at the Exeter branch.
