Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to inspect a range of fall arrest systems and equipment for Argos.

Engineers from PTSG Access & Safety Ltd will deliver inspections of CAT ladders and Mansafe systems in place across 240 branches UK-wide to ensure they are compliant and 100% fit for purpose. Its teams have the expertise and capacity to carry out repairs and installations of new equipment when required.

Argos, the catalogue retailer, has operating in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It was established in November 1972 and is named after the Greek city of Argos. It was acquired by Sainsbury’s supermarket chain in 2016. The company trades both through physical shops and online, with over 883 retail shops, 29 million yearly shop customers, and nearly a billion online visitors per annum, making it one of the largest high street retailers in the United Kingdom.

PTSG has completed a number of contracts for Argos over the last several years, delivering specialist services from different divisions. Last year, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd started work to test, inspection and maintenance of lightning protection systems in place at 245 stores in total. The work is due to be complete later this year.
