Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has delivered specialist fire and security solutions at one of the largest sites with its Thames portfolio for long-standing client UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA).

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority is a UK government research organisation responsible for the development of nuclear fusion power. It is an executive non-departmental public body of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

The objective of this project was to bring all external PTZ CCTV cameras back to a central location to allow the site security team to take a more streamlined approach in monitoring the UKAEA site.

Over the years several different systems had been installed and linked back to various servers located within different buildings across a very large site. The considerable challenge was to integrate the different manufacturers’ equipment to work as one system and the head end to be positioned in the security control room.

This was achieved by a firm understanding of the client’s requirements and the coming together of the sales and delivery team. Initially, PTSG’s account manager worked with the client and one of the Group’s preferred manufacture suppliers to provide the overall technical objective and a demonstration of how this was going to be implemented.

Engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd carried out an in-depth site survey; the delivery team and supply chain then worked in unison to ensure the client’s expectations were met.
