World Mental Health Day 2023 takes place today (10th October). The aim is to highlight the need to increase investment in mental health. The theme for 2023, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health, is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’.

A mental health condition or disorder affects around one billion people worldwide, and it can impact anyone, anywhere.

Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) strives to stay ahead of the curve in promoting mental health amongst its workforce. Over 20 fully trained Mental Health First Aiders are strategically situated throughout the UK now. This enables any of the Group’s approximately 2,700 people to access help at any time, confidentially. The company takes a holistic approach to health, treating physical and mental health as one.

Jo Mansell, Chief Human Resources Officer  at PTSG, said: “We want all of our team members to feel safe. We want them well and enabled to do their best work at all times. We commit to providing everyone across the Group with a progressive and inclusive place to work. A place where they are able to be themselves, deliver well and make a positive contribution in achieving our corporate objectives. We encourage all our colleagues to live our values as they develop and achieve their full potential.

“World Mental Health Day is a great way to mark and remind everyone about this very important subject. We firmly believe that we must keep ahead of it at all times as we support our people at work. This also applies to challenges they may face at home – it should never come as an afterthought or a formality.”
