Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist lightning protection system at a new development in East London.
The London Borough of Newham is developing the John Street housing scheme in Plaistow. It introduces 70 new affordable homes to the area. The project prioritises the provision of family homes, accounting for over 40% of the total units.
The development offers a well-balanced mix of townhouses, maisonettes, and apartments across three, four, and twelve storeys. It includes 1,200m2 of landscaped central open space with 24 new trees planted. The project is dedicated to achieving high levels of sustainability and energy efficiency. The goal is to meet the rigorous Passivhaus standard, ensuring optimal thermal comfort and reduced energy costs for residents.
In this project, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will be delivering a new lightning protection system. This new system will safeguard the buildings and all users in the event of an electrical storm.
