Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a specialist electrical contract at Ipswich Grain Terminal.

Ipswich Grain Terminal is a major agri-bulk facility based within the Port of Ipswich. It provides a fast, efficient service, handling a wide range of food and feed commodities.

Its location in the heart of East Anglia, the “bread basket of England”, makes it a key port for the export of grain. It is one of the leading grain export facilities in the UK, and in 2012/13 handled 33% of the UK’s wheat exports. Ipswich Grain Terminal offers customers excellent transport links to and from the port, with easy access to the A12/A14.

Ipswich Grain Terminal offers the following agri-bulk activities:

• Exports
• Imports
• Sampling & Analysis
• Storage
• Haulage

Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd performed a test and inspection of the lightning protection system in place at the grain terminal. This statutory procedure highlights any faults that require remedial work to ensure the system continues to operate at optimum efficiency and satisfies BS EN 62305.
