Premier Technical Services Group Ltd. (PTSG) is no stranger to tough challenges, or to raising money for charity. Alan Miner, a Service Supervisor with the Group’s Fire Solutions division serving the London region, has taken part in the PureGym National Relay 2019, raising over £1,300 with his team.

Loaded with a full rucksack, Alan completed a 12-mile walk as part of his team. The PureGym National Relay 2019 set out from Aberdeen, involving more than 1,500 PureGym members who walked, ran cycled, skateboarded and scootered throughout the night to their destination of Plymouth.

The aim of the challenge was to highlight the link between mental and physical health. The target of £250,000 went to Mental Health UK, which works in Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales to provide practical information, advice and support to those living with mental health problems as well as their family and carers.

This is the latest in a long line of initiatives undertaken by PTSG in aid of mental health. A number of senior staff recently completed the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course, which will enable them to deliver specialised mental health first-aider courses throughout the Group.
