Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is delivering specialist electrical services to protect Manchester City FC from lightning strikes.

Founded in 1880, the club’s home ground is the 55,000-capacity City of Manchester Stadium in east Manchester, to which it moved in 2003. The club had previously played at Maine Road since 1923. Manchester City finished second in the Premier League in the 2019-20 season. Prior to that, the club has enjoyed considerable success in recent years, winning the premiership in 2011-12, 2013-14, 2017-18 and 2018-19 (also winning the FA Cup in 2019).

Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd recently completed a test and inspection of the lightning protection in place at the club’s home ground, the City of Manchester Stadium. Following this, they are carrying out repairs to ensure it is fully protected for another year.
