Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist electrical services at a landmark building in Basingstoke.
Lilly House, which used to be the headquarters of the AA, is being razed to the ground to make way for a new logistics development on the site, creating between 250 to 500 new jobs.
The developer submitted an application last year to demolish the empty building and redevelop the site to deliver approximately 206,050 square feet of commercial space, including 10,194 sq. ft of office space.
The former AA site, with its vast two-storey underground parking and five-storey above ground design, provided significant challenges to ensure disruption was minimised to businesses on the industrial estate, a nearby hotel, residential blocks and two busy main roads during the demolition and enabling works.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will deliver a brand-new lighting protection system at the newly developed site. This will provide vital protection for the structure and users in the event of an electrical storm.
PTSG is the UK’s leading provider of lightning protection services. It delivers brand-new systems, testing and inspection, repair and upgrade services to lightning and surge protection systems for clients in all industry sectors.
