Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has been awarded a contract to provide a new lightning protection system at the University of Essex’s Wivenhoe Park campus.
Engineers from the company’s Electrical Services division will install a lightning protection system at the campus’s sports hall, to be fitted in line with BSEN 62305 standards. PTSG’s specialist team will also carry out annual testing, inspections and maintenance of systems at 35 existing structures at the campus.
Wivenhoe Park, on the outskirts of Colchester in Essex, is a tranquil 200-acre site, home to the University of Essex’s Colchester Campus and a wide range of plants and wildlife, including some extraordinary and historic trees.
With more than two decades of experience in the design, installation and testing of lightning protection and earthing systems, PTSG’s Electrical Services division is the UK market leader and a member of the Association of Technical & Access Specialists (ATLAS).
