Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been providing specialist access and safety services at Farnborough Airport, home of the Farnborough International Airshow.
Farnborough Airport is an operational business/executive general aviation airport in Farnborough, Rushmoor, Hampshire. The 310-hectare airport covers about 8% of Rushmoor’s land area.
Farnborough Airport has a long history, beginning at the start of the 20th century with the creation of His Majesty’s Balloon Factory and the first powered flight in Britain in 1908. This subsequently became the Royal Aircraft Establishment, a connection which continues in the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust museum.
The radar tower at the airport allows controllers to look out of the tower windows, as well as at the ATC equipment, to give aircraft clearance to taxi, take-off and land. Specialists from PTSG Access & Safety Ltd have been completing remedial work to the handrails on the main radar tower at the airport.
PTSG Access & Safety Ltd is the original division of PTSG. The Group now operates five independent divisions, the other four being PTSG Electrical Services Ltd, PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd, PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd and PTSG Water Treatment. Together, they deliver a complete specialist services solution.
