Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has secured a contract to deliver specialist protective maintenance services for a large wholesaler.
One of the largest retailers in the world, this American multinational company opened its first warehouse in the early eighties. The brand has gone on to open 858 warehouses worldwide (as of July 2023), 29 of which are in UK. There are plans for the company to extend its UK presence to 44 warehouses.
The retailer has a frequently changing inventory. They gained reputation for carrying products for a time, discontinuing them, or using them as seasonal products. Over the years, it has gradually expanded its range of products and services. Initially, it preferred to sell only boxed products that could be dispensed by simply tearing the stretch wrap off pallet. It now sells many other products that are more difficult to handle.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd will deliver siphonic drainage services at various UK sites. Siphonic drainage is the best way of protecting buildings against high-intensity storms and rising levels of rainfall. Siphonic rainwater systems use baffle plates (fixed to the rainwater outlet) to prevent air entering the pipes during intense storms. The high-velocity operational flow rate of the system enables it to deal with intense rates of rainfall.
