PTSG is privileged to work on some of the UK’s most outstanding and iconic buildings. From historic castles and monuments to cutting-edge skyscrapers, we are proud to play our part in ensuring they are safe and protected, clean and operationally efficient.

Football stadia are high, complex buildings that require a range of specialist services to ensure they remain safe and presentable for the thousands of people who attend to watch matches often several times a week each season. PTSG has delivered a range of specialist services to numerous sports stadia, including horse and greyhound racing venues (including Carlisle, Wetherby and Haydock Park) as well as the iconic new Wembley Stadium.

Heart of Midlothian is Edinburgh’s oldest and most successful football club. Working in partnership with Hearts, PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd was contracted to paint the structural roof support trusses in place at the stadium. The out-of-season contract was based on a six-week programme that was concluded within both time scale and budget.

During the close-season, Hearts knew it was necessary to refurbish its playing surface. This presented the opportunity to allow cherry pickers onto the pitch to safely undertake the re-painting of the stadium’s high-level roof trusses with a 25-year life paint specification. At the same time, the club also took the opportunity to replace its existing floodlights, which were at the end of their life expectancy, being nearly 30 years old.

“It is always a pleasure working with the Hearts team, who have a great work ethic and understanding of the importance of maintenance to the stadium,” commented Mark Perfect Junior, Rope Access Contracts Manager for PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd.
