Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to provide specialist electrical services at one of the key sites in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
The Worcestershire Royal Hospital is an acute general hospital located in Charles Hastings Way in Worcester. It is managed by the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The hospital replaced the Worcester Royal Infirmary in 2002 as the main hospital in the county of Worcestershire. The hospital is located in Charles Hastings Way, named after Charles Hastings, a leading physician with a longstanding connection to healthcare in the city of Worcester and nationally. It has 500 beds and nine operating theatres. Facilities management services are provided by ISS.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd are carrying out repairs to the lightning protection system in place at the facility.
PTSG is relied upon to test, inspect and maintain lightning and surge protection systems at buildings and structures of all kinds throughout the UK, including a great many hospitals.
Since the start of the year, the Group’s specialists have also installed a new lightning protection system at Bournemouth Hospital, on the south coast. Meanwhile, engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd have returned to NHS Nightingale Exeter to deliver fire and security assets as the hospital once again becomes a Covid treatment centre.
