Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is testing the lightning protection system at Glamis Castle in north-east Scotland.

Glamis Castle is situated beside the village of Glamis in Angus. It is the home of the Earl and Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne and is open to the public. The castle is protected as a category A listed building, and the grounds are included on the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland, the national listing of significant gardens

PTSG is no stranger to historic buildings and has previously delivered specialist services for a wide variety of buildings including (but not limited to):

Edinburgh, Dumbarton and Stirling Castles and Glasgow Cathedral – carrying out high-level cleaning and maintenance services;
Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh – carrying out emergency masonry repairs and painting and decorating; and
Scott’s Monument, Edinburgh – stonework to the 170-year-old tower’s complex Gothic design.
