Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been awarded a contract to install lightning protection systems for the Ministry of Defence at its Lyneham base.

MOD Lyneham is currently being given a multi-million-pound makeover to make it a better workplace and home for soldiers who are returning to the UK from Germany. The upgraded facilities will make MOD Lyneham a Centre of Excellence for electrical and mechanical engineering.

As part of the multi-disciplinary works, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install lightning protection at buildings B190 and B192. Rope access specialists will carry out the work. Rope Access is arguably the safest method known to the industry of reaching high and awkward places. PTSG’s engineering teams design and install unique systems to suit customers’ specific requirements and by using tried, tested and approved techniques they access buildings safely, quickly and cost-effectively.

The contract is with contractor Briggs and Forrester, a leading building services provider and one of the industry’s largest independent contractors.
