Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted by Skanska to provide specialist electrical services at a new office building and a separate residential building behind New Oxford Street in London.

The Earnshaw Building Project involves the demolition of Castlewood House, close to Centre Point Tower on Tottenham Court Road. Skanska will build a large 11-storey office building with retail and restaurant use and 18 apartments in a separate adjacent building.

Skanska will also install the mechanical, electrical, and public health services for the development, which is targeting BREEAM Outstanding for the commercial office space and BREEAM Excellent for the rest of the development, as well as a WELL Core and Shell Gold certification. The project is scheduled to be complete in December 2022.

Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will deliver a brand-new lightning protection at the new buildings, safeguarding them and all users in the event of an electrical storm. The Essex office of PTSG Electrical Services Ltd is believed to be the oldest trading company providing lightning protection in the UK and possibly even Europe. The company’s strong reputation dates back to 1835 and its engineers continue to be involves in a wide range of projects in London and the South East.
