Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has renewed a contract with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to provide specialist services – a contract the Group has held for over 14 years.

Engineers from PTSG Access and Safety Ltd will test fall arrest equipment at sites throughout the UK. The work will be carried out in accordance with SFG20 – the definitive standard for planned maintenance. It enables facilities managers, building owners, contractors and consultants to stay compliant.

Developed by the Building and Engineering Services Association, SFG20 provides consultants, contractors, building owners and FM managers a single version of the truth when it comes to maintenance requirements for buildings.

First developed as SMG90 in 1990, the standard has been revised and updated on an ongoing basis, evolving from the original set of five published volumes, to a CD-ROM, before transitioning to an online service in 2012.

PTSG’s teams have worked on DWP assets for a number of years undertaking work on behalf of various principal contractors. The Group’s specialist team provides a wide range of services to ensure the safety of building users including: access and safety, electrical services, external building maintenance and reparation and fire solutions.
