Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has secured a new order to deliver a number of fire solutions in a new building at the University of Cambridge.

In a contract with Bouygues UK, engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd will install commercial sprinklers and dry risers to a new state-of-the-art physics laboratory on West Cambridge campus, off Madingley Road. The multi-million-pound project will strengthen the University of Cambridge’s position as a leading provider of research and learning in the field of physics.

Founded in 1209, the University of Cambridge is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world. Cambridge alumni, faculty members and researchers have won 11 Fields Medals and seven Turing Awards. Perhaps the most famous of all its scientists is Sir Isaac Newton, who conducted many of his experiments in the grounds of Trinity College.

PTSG has a large education portfolio and has installed fire solutions, lightning protection systems and delivered a number of other specialist services for universities throughout the UK. It is hoped that this latest contract at the University of Cambridge will mark the start of a long and successful working relationship between PTSG and Bouygues UK.
