David Town of Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) recently completed a fantastically creative charity initiative.

David, who works as Sales Manager for PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd, is a member of the BC Club – a local business that raises money mainly for children that may have life threatening, shortening or debilitating illnesses such as Turner Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy, or who require specialist support equipment to enhance quality of life.

The BC Club, which works closely with the local Variety Club, also provides underprivileged children with a gift for their birthday and Christmas. They also work with Dreamflight, which provides children with a serious illness or disability with the holiday of a lifetime to destinations such as Disneyworld in Florida.

Since Covid struck, physical meetings between BC Club members haven’t been possible, but vital funds still need to be raised. Therefore, an ingenious idea involving a taxi was conceived!

The BC Taxi is driven by one member of the club for one week. He has to pay £250, must complete 150 miles and must also modify the taxi. You can see from the photos how PTSG’s David Town modified the taxi in his own unique way.

He managed to raise just under £4,000, taking the total funds over £100,000, making it a fun and incredibly worthwhile experience.

With over 2,300 people working at 47 UK office locations, PTSG continues to raise money for charitable causes in a large number of ways.
