Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has delivered fire and security solutions at NHS Nightingale Exeter, one of the first temporary hospitals set up by NHS England for the COVID-19 pandemic.

PTSG previously completed a flash project in ten weeks to make the hospital safe, secure and ready for use. However, due to lack of use it was decommissioned early in 2021. Since the decision was made to once again provide COVID-19 treatment at the hospital, the facility in Sowton, Exeter has been used to provide diagnostic scans to local people, host a COVID-19 vaccine trial and train overseas nurses.

Specialists from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd were contracted to complete enabling works for the new project to progress, re-install all the old equipment add and modify systems to allow for the new layout, fully test and re-commission in a matter of weeks ready for Royal Devon and Exeter NHS to take the building back on. They include fire alarms, air sampling, access control and CCTV. The systems have recently been handed over; witness testing was approved and there are just a small number of minor changes left to make.

Other NHS Nightingale Hospital are located in Birmingham, Bristol, Cumbria, Harrogate, London, Manchester and Sunderland.
