Pendrich are part of the PTSG group of Companies and due to exciting projects we have an ongoing need for experienced Steeplejacks to work alongside our existing teams in Scotland and/or Manchester.  We provide high quality Steeplejack services to nationwide clients varying from multi-storey or historical buildings, to cooling towers and industrial buildings.

Role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager the role will be to repair and make safe high inaccessible structures with a strong emphasis on health and safety, quality control, value for money and corporate responsibility

You will join our team of busy professional steeplejacks working at height with a safety first mind set.  In this role you will work across both locally and national sites so will need to be prepared to periodically work away from home.

Often working on constructions sites alongside multi-disciplinary trades people, you will need the ability to communicate professionally and clearly with counterparts, which  is critical to ensure the smooth handover of projects.

  • Deliver a variety of working at height projects according to job specifications
  • Follow method statements, risk assessments and site specific safety regulations and comply with strict Company and industry policies and regulations.
  • Work with a safety first mentality, erecting access ladders, scaffolding, work platforms and bosun’s seats (harnesses), as well as other safety devices.
  • Complete Company paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including point of work risk assessment, job sheets, material schedules and timesheets and ensure this is returned to the office based team

Essential Criteria

  • Strong and proven experience in constructions, scaffolding, rope access and working at height.
  • Physically able to climb and work at height
  • Hold a current CSCS card and or working at height competency
  • To have good planning/problem solving skills and management of risk
  • Ability to assess risks in a construction environment
  • Good communication skills and a team player
  • Flexible and dynamic approach to all tasks.
  • Customer facing experience in a field service environment

UK Dry Riser Maintenance Ltd. tests and maintains dry riser fire protection systems. In-house specialist engineers work nationally, performing safety critical tests in accordance with BS9990 2015 using the latest digital flow and test equipment.

The Administration team is dedicated to providing an exceptional level of support to both external customers and the wider team, with responsibilities being allocated according to business need and each team members skill set. This could include providing information over the phone or e-mail, processing orders, generating test certificates or helping to support the Service team.

This is a busy team and our customers expect and deserve exceptional service, accurate reporting and timely certification.

Lightning Conductor Adult Learner

Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) – West Midlands and South West

PTSG provide Lightning Protection, Power Earthing and Specialist Access Services working nationwide.

Due to continued expansion we have a vacancy for an adult learner to work alongside our existing team learning how to be a lightning conductor fitter through On Site Assessment Training.

Please note due to the location of our existing workforce we require the applicant to live in the Tamworth or Bristol area.

The works will involve the installation and upgrade of lightning protection systems on buildings and structures in line with BSEN62305 across a variety of sites throughout the West Midlands and South West of the country.

The applicant must be highly motivated and be physically fit/able and comfortable working at height, with the desire and motivation to work outdoors as part of a 2 man team.

Upon successful completion of the OSAT you will be receive an NVQ qualification which require training in the following: 

  • Lightning Protection materials & components
  • Lightning Protection standards and working regulations
  • Safe use of hand tools
  • Safe use of Ladders
  • Application of fall restraint systems and full body harnesses
  • Working at Height awareness
  • Use of abrasive wheels
  • IPAF – Mobile Elevated Working Platform
  • PASMA – Scaffold tower erecting and dismantling
  • SSSTS – Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme

PTSG Electrical Services have an exciting vacancy for an experienced Estimator to work alongside our existing Lightning Protection Installations team in the West Midlands/South West region, based at our Kidderminster office. PTSG provide Lightning Protection, Electronic Surge Protection, Power Earthing and Specialist Access Services. We are also a UK market leader and member of the Association of technical Lighting & Access Specialists (ATLAS).

Role

The role will be to work as a member of the regional estimating team. Responsible for quoting and converting a range of new build and retrofit projects across the region and ensuring that all incoming enquiries are responded to in a timely manner and followed to a successful conclusion.

You will build dynamic and long term relationships with our clients and other operational counterparts to ensure the smooth handover of projects to the contract management team.

  • Prepare and produce risk assessments, designs, quotations and specifications for lightning protection installation projects in response to enquiries
  • Ensure all quotations are technically sound and in accordance with the British and International standards
  • Generate new business opportunities
  • Managing clients’ expectations and attending pre and post tender meetings.

Job Purpose: To control the materials and equipment delivered to and taken out of a regional Store/Warehouse ensuring stock is available to fulfil client works as required. Evaluating machinery in store and with Engineers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Receiving deliveries – ensuring the correct paper work has been submitted and goods received are correct with regards to quality/quantity
  • Organising stock with the facility (including stock control)
  • Material preparation for jobs to be allocated to the Engineer teams
  • Ensuring that stock is stored in a manner which allows quick access to items regularly used
  • Entering data is correctly entered on to the stock control tracker
  • Maintain a good standard of housekeeping within the store, ensuring that the working environment is kept clear of waste on an on-going basis.
  • Keeping machinery in a serviceable condition and logged.
  • Ensuring quarantined items are tested/repaired and reports are registered and logged appropriately.

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) Engineers

Demand for our Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) services is high from existing and new PTSG customers, so we are continually looking to expand our national team of Engineers (particularly in London).

The role will require you to safely carry out inspection and testing of electrical equipment and produce results/reports that meet the requirements of the current edition of the IET Code of Practice, clients and external accrediting bodies. 

More specifically you will be required to:

  • Carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) in accordance with the current edition of the IET Code of Practice
  • Produce results which meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies
  • Adhere to Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures at all times
  • Act with integrity and professionalism in all communications with clients and colleagues
  • Keep abreast of changes and amendments of standards, regulations and best practice within the industry
  • Travel throughout the UK to service client needs

To perform the role you will need:

  • City & Guilds 2377 (preferred but not essential as full training will be given)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Relevant computer literacy to enable generation and electronic submission of results

Electrical Testing Engineers (Fixed Wire)

Due to continued growth, we would like to hear from qualified Electricians (particularly in the London area) who are interested in joining our skilled and committed team.

You will carry out electrical installation testing in our customer’s properties, producing reports that meet the requirements of BS7671 while maintaining a safe working environment at all times. Our customer base is diverse, so whilst performing the role you will visit some interesting buildings and meet many great customers.

More specifically your responsibilities will be to:

  • Carry out Periodic Inspections of clients electrical installations in accordance with the current edition of BS7671
  • Produce Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) which meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies (e.g. NICEIC)
  • Perform other electrical tests and inspections and produce the appropriate industry recognised reports (e.g. Emergency Light testing, Fixed Appliance testing)
  • Carry out electrical rectification / remedial repairs and produce the appropriate documentation in accordance with the current edition of BS7671
  • Adhere to Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures at all times
    Represent PTSG, acting with integrity and professionalism in all communications with clients and colleagues
  • Keep abreast of changes and amendments of standards, regulations and best practice within the electrical industry

We are looking for professional and committed people who have:
