Premier Technical Services Group Ltd has been contracted to provide specialist Access & Safety services at Edinburgh Napier University.
Napier Technical College, the predecessor of the university, was founded in 1964, taking its name from 16th-century Scottish mathematician and philosopher John Napier. The technical college was inaugurated as a university in 1992 by Lord Douglas-Hamilton.
The university is based around its three main campuses at Merchison, Craiglockhart and Sighthill. Students enrol for course ranging from engineering and computing to nursing and midwifery, as well as creative courses including film, acting and graphic design.
This large project will see engineers from PTSG Access & Safety Ltd engaged in installations of new fall arrest equipment as well as repairs to existing systems.
