Gaseous suppression protects the assets water can’t.
Data centres, server rooms, archive stores, switch rooms and heritage collections depend on gas suppression systems that work when they’re needed. PTSG Fire Solutions inspects, tests and maintains them to keep it that way.
What is gas suppression maintenance?
Gas suppression maintenance is the periodic inspection and testing of every component in the system, including cylinders, nozzles, detection heads, release panels, sounders, abort switches, door releases and manual triggers.
Manufacturers and BS ISO 14520 set the standards and frequency. Annual inspection is the typical minimum, with cylinder pressure and weight checked more often.

Frequently Asked Questions
Annual inspection is the minimum, with cylinder pressure and weight checked approximately every six months.
A room integrity (door fan) test measures leakage from the protected enclosure to confirm the agent will hold its concentration for the required time. It is needed at commissioning and whenever the enclosure is altered.
The space is ventilated, cylinders are recharged, the system is recommissioned and a post-incident inspection is carried out. PTSG provides 24/7 response to return the system to service.
