What does portable fire extinguisher servicing involve?
BS 5306-3 requires portable fire extinguishers to be inspected annually by a competent person, with extended service at intervals set by extinguisher type. Annual checks cover condition, pressure, weight, labelling and mounting. Extended service includes full internal inspection, replacement of components and recharging.
