Welcome to Inside PTSG.

It was interesting earlier this month to see individuals in facilities management being recognised with OBEs and MBEs in the King’s Birthday Honours List 2023. It’s indicative of our industry becoming more widely acknowledged for the important role it plays in keeping the nation’s buildings safe, compliant and well presented.

That is our raison d’être at PTSG. It is our privilege to serve over 20,000 customers in every industry sector, ensuring their buildings remain compliant with the many different industry standards which in turn, ensures they are safe and operate more efficiently.

In this month’s issue, there’s a detailed overview of a recent project completed by our steeplejack and specialist rope access team based in Edinburgh. They successfully completed vital structural work to the steeple of a 250-year-old church, including carefully lowering the six-metre finial rod and loose masonry to the ground with a 100-tonne crane.

Insight looks at UK Dry Risers Ltd, which is part of PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd. Our fastest-growing division over the last few years now offers a comprehensive range of fire and security services, of which dry riser installations is a vital part.

We also feature one of the many extraordinary buildings we are privileged to work on, while In the News shows a snapshot of the activity within our different business divisions.

I wish you all the best and look forward to keeping you informed of further updates from throughout the Group.

Best wishes

Paul Teasdale
Executive Chairman
