Phil Campion, Operations Director, Electrical Testing

This month we speak to Phil Campion, the Operations Director of our growing Electrical Testing division, to learn about his role and what he gets up to outside the office.
At work:
As Operations Director of the Electrical Testing division I have operational responsibility for the delivery of electrical compliance testing services throughout the UK. These responsibilities include engineering management, customer relations, scheduling and account management and any other operational duties required to deliver customer requirements on time and on budget.
The job brings many challenges as the industry is so competitive, so I am always trying to work hard to keep up to date with industry developments, and focusing on our recruitment and ensuring that our engineers are amongst the best in the business so that we provide our customers with a market leading service.
I have worked in the electrical industry for more than 30 years – before joining PTSG I worked for a business called PHS Compliance, where I was Head of Operations.
At home:
Outside of work I enjoy watching football (I’m a Liverpool fan), and horse racing. I also used to play a lot of golf but the clubs haven’t been out for a few years – they’re currently gathering dust in my garage!
