This month we speak to Pauline Sharkey, our receptionist and administrator, and the friendly voice of the PTSG family, to learn more about her role and life outside of her job.

At work:

As PTSG’s receptionist, I deal with all incoming phone calls and queries from visitors. I’m also responsible for outgoing letters and parcels, ordering office stationary and equipment and manging the business’s holiday rotas, filing and keeping records up to date.

There’s rarely a day in my job that isn’t busy, but I enjoy having plenty to do to keep me occupied. I’m on the phone for large parts of the day so fortunately I’m very sociable, and like speaking to different people.

Before I worked for PTSG I lived in Ireland for 13 years in County Donegal. It was a much quieter lifestyle and I had a few different jobs before I relocated to the UK with my family.

At home:

I enjoy walking in the countryside and going to the cinema. I also like to spend time with family and friends as much as possible.
