This month we catch up with Paul Campbell, our Group Assessor.
At work
I was previously General Manager of Pendrich Height Services in Edinburgh, which was acquired by PTSG in June 2015. I was delighted when the board of PTSG agreed that my skills and experience would be best employed in the role of Group Assessor.
I am re sponsible for the induction, portfolios and submission for verification of engineers’ vocational qualifications in lightning protection, steeplejacks, fall arrest installation and building maintenance units. My work takes me to PTSG’s sites all over the UK.
The opportunity to deliver a presentation at The Shard in London, for the BIFM Awards 2018, was surreal and to win the prize for Innovation in Professional Development was fantastic. The award is for the candidates of PTSG whom I have to thank for their involvement in the VQs and training.
At home
I am a keen footballer and when I finished playing, I refereed amateur football for 22 years covering the whole of Scotland. Eventually work and travel made it impossible to keep this going, so I now watch the beautiful game when I can and go to Glasgow to see Celtic play in the SPL (because we don’t last too long in Europe!).
Other than that, I am very much a family person, looking after them, getting involved in their interests and forever funding them as well.
