HD Sharman, part of PTSG’s Building Access Specialists division, has extended guarantees on its flagship roof and gutter refurbishment systems to 30 years, giving building owners, property managers and tenants greater certainty over the long-term protection of their properties.
The extended guarantees cover Delcote® roof coatings and Plygene® gutter lining systems, helping owners, and parties responsible for properties, protect and significantly extend the life of ageing industrial and commercial pitched metal roofs and gutters, without the additional cost and disruption of a full replacement.
Alongside the longer guarantees, Sharmans has fully BBA certified one-coat specifications for both Delcote® 30 and Delcote® 15. These deliver 30 and 15 year lifespans but one coat means reducing refurbishment times, less labour and access equipment costs, and less disruption to building operations.

The shorter-term Delcote® guarantee has also increased from 10 to 15 years aligning with Sharmans’ Seamsil® 100 cut-edge corrosion system, giving end clients an option suited to typical lease and asset-management periods. Delcote® GS gutter coatings now carry a 15-year guarantee.
The changes build on decades of proven use. Delcote® was co-developed with British Steel more than 30 years ago to refurbish and protect pitched metal roofs, using silicone technology designed to resist UV exposure and weathering.
Plygene® has been successfully used to refurbish commercial and industrial gutters for more than 40 years.
