Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), a leading provider of specialist services to the construction and facilities management sectors, has announced the acquisition of BDS Group Limited (BDSG), further strengthening the Group’s Fire Solutions division and expanding its fire safety engineering and electrical compliance capabilities across the UK.
The acquisition supports PTSG’s long-term strategy of investing in high-quality specialist compliance businesses operating within safety-critical and regulation-led markets.
Expanding PTSG’s Fire Detection and Compliance Capabilities
Headquartered in Wallington, South London, BDSG comprises two specialist businesses – Bespoke Detection Services Limited (BDS) and BDS Electrical FM Limited (BDSE).
Together, the businesses provide a comprehensive range of fire safety engineering and electrical compliance services, including:
- Fire detection testing and inspection
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Fire alarm system repairs
- Specialist electrical services
- Compliance-led maintenance
- Electrical retrofit and installation services
BDSG operates across commercial, industrial and infrastructure environments nationwide and has built a strong reputation for technical expertise, operational reliability and customer service excellence over more than 25 years.
The business also benefits from long-standing customer relationships and a substantial portfolio of recurring compliance-led maintenance and testing work.
Strategic Growth for PTSG Fire Solutions
The acquisition further strengthens PTSG’s position within the UK fire detection and compliance market while adding additional engineering capability, technical expertise and recurring workstreams to the Group.
BDSG also maintains a long-standing Tier 1 supplier relationship with a globally recognised automotive manufacturer across its UK estate, reflecting the business’s reputation for consistent service delivery and technical quality.
Importantly, the existing BDSG senior leadership team – Kevin Blyde, Mitchell Blyde and Anthony Watts – will remain with the business following completion.
