In 2014 we launched MOUSE (Memorable, Outstanding, Unique, Service Experience), a unique customer service-driven initiative. Each month, MOUSE speaks to someone in our team about their life inside and outside of work.

This month, we speak to Vicky Tillett, the Group’s Electrical Services division’s Maintenance Manager, to get an insight into her role and life outside of work.

At Work
As one of PTSG’s maintenance managers, I am responsible for running a team of labour controllers, administrators and engineers who work on various fixed wire, portable appliance and emergency lighting testing contracts.

I’ve worked for PTSG since 2009, when I joined as a fall arrest controller. After taking maternity leave and following the Group’s acquisition of Ohmega Testing Services Ltd. in 2013, I moved into my current role in Electrical Services.

I spend a lot of my time liaising with clients, ensuring targets are met and managing my team to help them deliver on their respective projects. The work is very diverse, and I enjoy the social aspect of working with people in different environments.

My role can be challenging at times, with a strong focus on delivering results on time. However, I think this kind of pressure is important and helps me produce my best work, which has helped me reach this point in my career.

At Home
I have a five-year-old daughter who keeps me very busy, and I enjoy spending time with her and taking her out and meeting up with other friends’ children. I like to go out with friends and socialise – Prosecco is often an essential component to this!
