Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) is watching its sustainability commitments take root – literally – thanks to a climate initiative run by supply chain partner Safpro.
Safpro, a PPE and safety equipment supplier to PTSG, funds the planting of trees through climate platform Ecologi based on customer spend. As a result of PTSG’s purchasing activity, 58 Sonneratia alba trees have been planted in Kenya’s Mau Region – one of East Africa’s most significant water catchment areas, where reforestation supports both biodiversity and local communities.
It’s a small but tangible illustration of how PTSG’s day-to-day procurement decisions can generate real environmental impact beyond its own operations.
That thinking sits alongside a broader programme of sustainability work already underway across the group. PTSG has consolidated waste management through a partnership with Go Green, improving recycling rates across the 400,000-plus buildings it maintains. Its NSS division introduced ethical disposal routes for PPE and workwear, and the group has supported energy-from-waste infrastructure – helping convert non-recyclable waste into electricity at facilities including a plant in Belvedere.
Choosing suppliers who align with those values is an intentional part of how PTSG builds its supply chain. Safpro’s Ecologi programme means that every pound PTSG spends with them contributes to climate action – and the forest will keep growing as the partnership does.
