Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a project to install a series of specialist electrical equipment at the Cog Moors wastewater treatment works in South Wales.
The Cog Moors plant, which treats wastewater for Dinas Powys, Sully, Penarth, Barry and the West of Cardiff, is receiving an upgrade.
As part of the upgrade, over £50 million is being invested to install an Advanced Anaerobic Digestion (AAD) plant along with other improvements to the existing site. The AAD investment once completed will enable the achievement of an energy-neutral wastewater site by recovering energy from the waste processed onsite. This will help manage the effects of climate change, reduce running costs and carbon footprint.
PTSG Electrical Services Ltd (West Midlands / South West) recently completed this interesting and varied project. The design is comprised of Dehn electrical products; PTSG’s engineers specified HVI (high voltage insulated) conductors. The design was a combination of 13m – 25m free-standing masts and a series of air terminals, conductors and linking conductors which took a great deal of organisation, attention to detail, leadership and installation skills. The result was extremely well received by the client.
