Welcome to Inside PTSG.

Mental health continues to gain column inches in all industry sectors, not least our own, and rightly so. Gone are the days where poor mental health was considered a weakness or flaw. I’m proud that our own HSE team has long been an advocate of the benefits of looking after the mental health of our people.

Indeed, we treat mental and physical health holistically and since before the advent of COVID, our Group HSE Director and Group NVQ Trainer have been training our staff to be mental health first aid trainers. We now have around 30 fully qualified individuals throughout the Group, allowing our workforce of circa 2,700 to seek help in confidence at any time, wherever they are, to get professional health.

In this month’s Inside PTSG, ‘Project’ is a case study on the intelligent fire alarm portal used by the specialists within PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd. It’s one of a number of ways in which technology is being used to make our work more effective.

Insight takes a closer look at how our Building Access Specialists tackle working on all areas of buildings, with the priority always on safety. Rope access is generally regarded to be the most effective method for accessing buildings, both from a safety perspective and in terms of speed and ease of use.

The Group continues to work well in all five divisions and ‘News’ shows the brief summary of our recent project from across PTSG.
