Welcome to Inside PTSG.

It was reported this month that Britain’s economy shrank unexpectedly by 0.3% in October, as households and businesses came under growing pressure amid the cost of living crisis. The Office for National Statistics found that GDP fell in the month, with contractions across all main sectors of the economy.

In these rather uncertain times for businesses and householders, PTSG gives contractors an important reassurance of stability. After all, we have come through a number of challenges in recent years, not least the unprecedented effects of the COVID pandemic.

Our focus is always on delivering an outstanding level of customer service across all our five specialist areas. Our strong geographical coverage, with c2,700 specialists working out of 47 UK office locations, means we can be mobilised to any site at a moment’s notice – this is vital in many projects which require emergency remedial action to prevent danger to life. We are pleased to be able to provide reassurance through our specialist services.

In this issue of Inside PTSG, we feature some of the work of our specialist emergency cleaning team in Project. Our ability to react immediately to calls for all kinds of remedial works makes us a key partner for customers in all sectors.

Our electrical compliance specialists continue to be extremely busy across the UK; portable appliance testing (PAT) is one of the services they deliver, more details of which is in this month’s Insight. There’s also a brief snapshot of the many projects we are working on in News, and a closer look at one of the many extraordinary buildings it is our privilege to work on.
