A group of young rugby league players from West Yorkshire will this weekend pull on their PTSG-sponsored kits for the first time as they head to the Leeds Rhinos Butlins Tournament – widely recognised as the world’s largest rugby league festival.
The Under 9s from Hunslet ARLFC are among hundreds of junior sides taking part in the annual event, which draws clubs and families from across the country.
Greg Ward, CEO of PTSG, visited the club’s training session on Tuesday evening to meet the team ahead of the tournament – a moment that underlined the personal commitment behind the partnership.
The kits form part of PTSG’s recently announced partnership with Hunslet ARLFC, which also includes Gold Club Sponsorship, First Team support and individual coach sponsorship for Liam Thompson. The playing kits will continue to be used throughout the season and beyond, providing lasting benefit for the players and helping sustain grassroots sport in the local area.
Greg Ward, CEO of PTSG, said: “As a business headquartered in Castleford, rugby league runs deep within many of our communities and among our colleagues. Supporting grassroots clubs like Hunslet ARLFC is about more than sponsorship — it’s about investing in opportunities for young people, supporting volunteers and coaches, and helping local organisations continue to thrive.”
Jamie Fields, Director of Rugby at Hunslet ARLFC, said: “On behalf of everyone at Hunslet ARLFC, I would like to sincerely thank PTSG for their support. This sponsorship makes a real difference to our players, helping us provide the best possible environment for them to learn, develop and enjoy rugby league. It also means a great deal to our coaches, parents and volunteers to know that businesses like PTSG are willing to invest in grassroots sport and support local communities.”
