A Year of Momentum: How PTSG Strengthened its Leadership in Building Compliance in 2025

2025 marked another very strong year for Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) as the business continued to build scale, capability and influence across the UK building compliance landscape. Throughout the year, PTSG strengthened its market position through innovation, strategic acquisition, investment in people and an unwavering commitment to safety, sustainability and operational excellence.

January

From the outset, January set the tone. PTSG began the year by showcasing a groundbreaking approach to water treatment, demonstrating how smarter monitoring, preventative maintenance and data-led decision-making can significantly improve compliance outcomes while reducing environmental impact and operational cost. This innovation reinforced PTSG’s ability to move beyond reactive compliance, helping customers manage risk more intelligently across critical building systems.

February

In February, PTSG’s progress was recognised externally when the Group was named Large Business of the Year at TheBusinessDesk.com Yorkshire Business Awards 2025. The accolade reflected not only financial performance, but also the Group’s leadership, culture and ability to deliver complex, compliance-critical services at scale.

March

March was a month that highlighted both innovation and purpose. PTSG colleagues rolled up their sleeves to support UK woodland creation, underlining the Group’s belief that sustainability must be backed by action, not rhetoric. PTSG also began a programme of electrical seminars, supporting customers and industry professionals with practical guidance and compliance education.

April

In April, PTSG backed a charity Kilimanjaro trek in support of a Down syndrome charity, reflecting the Group’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. These initiatives sit alongside PTSG’s operational focus, reinforcing a culture where purpose and performance go hand in hand.

May

May saw PTSG host its first People Event, addressing menopause in the workplace – an often overlooked issue in technical and engineering environments. By creating space for open discussion and education, PTSG demonstrated that inclusion, wellbeing and performance are intrinsically linked.

June

June represented a major strategic milestone. PTSG strengthened its UK market leadership through the acquisition of UK Safety Management Ltd, expanding its electrical compliance and safety testing capabilities nationwide. This was followed swiftly by the acquisition of HD Sharman Group, significantly enhancing the Group’s building maintenance, roofing and refurbishment offering. Together, these acquisitions deepened PTSG’s ability to deliver integrated compliance solutions across the full building lifecycle.

Also in June, Dr Greg Ward became CEO of PTSG following an illustrious and successful career as a global business leader – bring his vast experience to bear within our growing portfolio.

July

In July, the focus turned firmly to people and safety. PTSG expanded its workplace wellbeing training programmes, celebrated apprenticeship excellence across the Group and brought senior leaders together at the annual Safety Leadership Conference. These initiatives reinforced a simple truth: compliance excellence depends on well-trained, engaged and supported people…all working safely together.

August

August highlighted PTSG’s broader contribution to industry and society. A senior PTSG director was recognised for outstanding contribution to STEM education, while Trinity achieved Net Zero at two operational bases – tangible progress in reducing the Group’s environmental footprint.

September

In September, PTSG appointed a new Group Health and Safety Director, strengthening governance and reinforcing its ambition to lead the industry in safety standards. This appointment reflected the scale and complexity of PTSG’s operations, and the importance of consistent, expert oversight across all divisions.

October

October showcased PTSG’s forward-looking approach. The Group was named an ambassador for Google Cloud’s UK AI Business Events, highlighting its commitment to digital transformation and intelligent compliance management. PTSG colleagues also united around major fundraising initiatives, including the Mission 500 million step challenge. This saw all colleagues attempt to collectively make 500 million steps during November – a distance equivalent to the moon! This was achieved, raising £6,200 for Children in Need. We also united to raise more than £1,700 for Breast Cancer Now, demonstrating the power of collective action.

November

The year culminated in November with industry recognition at the PFM Partnership Awards 2025, where PTSG won twice. These awards reflected innovation, collaboration and delivery – hallmarks of PTSG’s approach to building compliance.

December

Our present patrol team donated gifts valued at more than £5,000 and our fleet of willing Santas delivered them to housing associations, care homes and local authorities UK-wide. What a team, what an outcome!

As 2025 closed, PTSG stood stronger than ever: a business defined by its people, powered by smart processes and delivering measurable performance for customers nationwide.

We’re now ready for 2026! A year that will see us build further and includes the formal opening of our brand-new training Centre of Excellence.

We hope you have a great Christmas and a happy, healthy and successful New Year! We look forward to seeing you in 2026!
