Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is pleased to announce that its Access & Safety division has secured a significant contract to support the transformation of Edinburgh’s Port Hamilton Building – a landmark redevelopment in the capital.

The project will see the Port Hamilton Building – led by developer Drum Property Group – undergo a major redesign to create a modern, sustainable new workspace. Plans include a complete reconfiguration of the internal layout, enhanced public realm, energy-efficient upgrades and a striking improvement to the building’s external envelope – all part of a scheme intended to set new standards for workplace wellbeing and low-carbon office design in Edinburgh’s financial district.

As part of this high-profile refurbishment, PTSG Access & Safety Ltd will design, supply and install a monorail façade access system, providing a safe and discreet solution for long-term inspection and maintenance of the building’s exterior.

PTSG’s engineers have now commenced the design phase, which is scheduled for completion by the end of March 2026. The programme will then progress as follows:

• First-fix installation: June 2026
• Second-fix installation and commissioning: Completed by February 2027

A team of two-three PTSG operatives will deliver the on-site works, supported by off-site management and periodic site visits to coordinate with the developer’s wider construction programme.

The Port Hamilton project represents one of Edinburgh’s most significant commercial redevelopments in recent years, and PTSG is proud to contribute specialist access solutions that will support the building’s long-term operational safety and performance.

This latest contract further strengthens PTSG’s reputation as a trusted provider of façade access systems on major UK refurbishment and new-build schemes.
