Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), via constituent company Guardian Electrical Compliance (Guardian), has been contracted to deliver specialist electrical services for Ford Transmissions.

Based Liverpool, Ford Transmissions employs approximately 450 people. Occupying 44 acres of land on a site in Halewood, the current products the plant supplies include: transmissions for Fiesta, Focus, Kuga, Transit. From 2024, production of EV components for Ford E-Transit Custom, E-Tourneo Custom, Transit Courier, Tourneo Courier, Puma and further future products.

The Henry Ford Company was Henry Ford’s first attempt at a car manufacturing company and was established on November 3, 1901. In 1903, the Ford Motor Company was launched in a converted factory. In April 2023, United Kingdom ministers approved Ford’s BlueCruise technology. Because of this assisted driving technology, Ford drivers can now legally take their hands off the wheel on certain roads.

Engineers from Guardian will deliver electrical compliance testing at the Ford Transmissions site in Halewood. Guardian is the UK’s leading provider of electrical safety services, specifically inspection and testing of fixed installations. Its specialists offer legislative and technical support for duty holders to ensure that their legal requirement to comply with the law is continually maintained.
