Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is in the process of completing an electrical services project at the Royal Derby Hospital.
The Royal Derby Hospital is one of two teaching hospitals in the city of Derby, the other being the London Road Community Hospital. After the previous site was demolished in 2006, it was rebuilt with the new building opening in 2010. The new hospital has 1,159 acute beds and 35 operating theatres.
PTSG has vast expertise working in the healthcare sector and has previously worked at the Royal Derby Hospital, as well as a number of others including the University Hospital of Wales, Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and Charring Cross Hospital.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd carried out a test and inspection of the lightning protection system in place at the Royal Derby Hospital. This highlighted a number of repairs that are needed, which PTSG is currently completing.
