Two of the UK’s most respected water treatment specialists are joining forces. From 1st January 2026, Total Environmental Compliance (TEC) and HCS Water Treatment will unite under a single brand: PTSG Water Treatment.

Greg Ward, CEO of Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) explained: “By combining our two water businesses, we are creating something greater than the sum of its parts. There are significant opportunities ahead as we bring our teams together, reach new markets and strengthen relationships with existing customers.”

The unified business will manage over 25,000 sites nationwide, serving 170+ customers across all sectors.

Clients will benefit from:

  • Greater geographic reach: Engineers based throughout the UK for faster response times
  • Expanded expertise: Combined specialist knowledge across all water treatment services
  • Enhanced capabilities: From legionella risk assessments to cutting-edge remote temperature monitoring technology
  • Consistent excellence: The same dedicated teams’ clients already trust

Leadership and continuity

A new Managing Director for the PTSG Water Treatment division will be announced in the coming weeks. The current leadership team includes:

  • Mark Drinkhill – Director of Operations
  • Jamie MacLaren – Director of Commercial/Finance
  • Michael Pender – Director of Sales

Both TEC and HCS built their reputations on technical excellence and lasting client relationships. Methodist Homes Association has trusted the TEC team for over six years across their care home portfolio, while partnerships with organisations like bpha Properties have been renewed based on exceptional service delivery.

The merger positions PTSG Water Treatment to serve an even broader range of sectors – from healthcare and education to industrial, residential, and hospitality environments – with comprehensive solutions spanning risk assessments, 24/7 remote monitoring, compliance services and remedial engineering.

The merger strengthens PTSG’s position as the UK’s leading specialist building services group, with water treatment joining established divisions including Access & Safety, Building Access Specialists, Electrical Services and Fire Solutions.
