In the late 1960s, five of the company’s engineers were assigned to Stanley Kubrick’s movie “2001: A Space Odyssey” to create plausible fictional space technologies.
In this contract, engineers from Neo will provide fire door inspections at the client’s site in Edinburgh. With over 40,000 building fires occurring annually in the UK, maintaining compliant fire doors is non-negotiable. It is helpful to think of fire door maintenance like healthcare – prevention is always cheaper than cure. Regular inspections and timely repairs can extend a fire door’s lifespan by 5-10 years, representing significant savings across a large housing portfolio.
Neo brings a portfolio of passive fire services to PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd. In addition to fire door inspection, maintenance and installation, its specialists carry out fire-rated glazing, fire curtains and cavity barriers, fire stopping and penetration sealing, fire compartmentation. Elsewhere in the division, PTSG’s specialists also deliver fire and smoke damper testing and maintenance and ventilation and ductwork cleaning.
