PTSG’s Fire Solutions division has secured a new contract for specialist fire damper mapping and inspection services, delivered by constituent company Indepth, across nine sites operated by an NHS Trust in the East of England.
The Trust provides mental health, learning disability, autism and social care services to a local population of more than 768,000 people and employs around 2,700 staff across a wide range of clinical and support disciplines. Ensuring robust fire safety compliance across its estate is a critical priority in supporting safe, resilient healthcare environments.
During the first six months of the contract, Indepth will undertake a comprehensive survey and verification exercise to map all fire dampers within the Trust’s buildings. This will confirm the accuracy of existing records and correct any gaps or discrepancies identified. Works will include removing ceiling tiles and fire damper access doors where required to facilitate full drop testing, with all access reinstated on completion.
The team will survey associated ductwork, recording damper types, operating mechanisms and condition. Any fusible link-operated fire dampers identified will be reported as a priority for consideration of replacement. Each damper will be accurately located and recorded using the Trust’s location coding system, with new asset labels applied where none currently exist.
This contract reflects PTSG’s continued growth within the healthcare sector and demonstrates Indepth’s expertise in delivering detailed, compliant fire damper inspection programmes that support patient safety, regulatory assurance and long-term estate management.
