Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has pledged to adopt BS 30480 – Suicide and the Workplace: Intervention, Prevention and Support for People Affected by Suicide.
This commitment makes PTSG one of the early adopters of the world’s first standard focused on suicide and the workplace. By taking this step, the Group reinforces its leadership within the industry and its dedication to supporting colleagues’ mental health and wellbeing.
The new standard provides practical guidance for organisations on how to respond to, and support, people affected by suicide. It covers key areas including suicide awareness, prevention, crisis response and postvention support — ensuring workplaces can create safe and compassionate environments for all employees.
PTSG recognises that open, non-judgemental conversations are vital. Encouraging someone to talk, and listening with empathy, can make a real difference. It is also important to remember that recognising signs of distress can be difficult and no one should blame themselves if they do not spot the signs.
